Preparations for the 2020 trip.

Friday 27th December 2019

Christmas Day is past, and there are only a few days to the new year, 2020.
I have just spoken on Skype with my friend Joseph in India, as we near the time in January when I, together with my two friends Les and Jackie, will be flying from Heathrow Airport to meet him at Hyderabad Airport, early on the morning on Tuesday 14th January.

This visit to Andhra Pradesh will be my 5th trip to stay with Joseph, and the third on which I have been accompanied by my friend Les. For the first time, on this occasion Jackie, Les's wife Jackie will be coming with us. I am looking forward to what the Lord wants to do for us and through us as we visit our friends in India.

I have received confirmation of my E-Visa for India, and have just arranged travel insurance for my trip. What other preparation need to be done back here in England

Arrangements are in place for a visit early in January to my doctor's surgery for any necessary injections for my stay in India.

While my general health appears to be OK, my mind is on a forthcoming appointment for Margaret my wife at the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford on Tuesday

In 2 weeks time, I will be having an overnight break away with the rest of the Church leadership team at St Columba's House, Woking. We will be meeting together, as we have for the previous two years to discuss the Church, and specifically to confirm with each other what the Lord is saying to us about the future for Weybourne Community Church.

On Sunday 12th January, the day before our flight from the UK, I will be able to go online and do the final booking-in and the choice of seats on our flight to India.

As well as the need to make sure that all the practicalities have been sorted out in time, I am aware that I need to prepare mentally, physically and - above all - spiritually for my time in India. May I be wise in understanding how I can do this.
